Students will get hands-on experience with the essential tools used in today's DJ Setups. We’ll explore the core components of DJ hardware (controllers) & DJ software (Serato). This course is designed to build confidence in setting up, navigating, and understanding the gear and giving students the knowledge they need to start mixing with ease.

Music Theory & Mixing Basics
In this class, you'll learn the basics of music structure and how it applies to DJing. We’ll cover key concepts like beats, counting bars, and tempo (BPM). Students will develop skills in beat matching, cue points, EQ control, and transition techniques. We’ll break down different styles of mixing—from basic blends to more advanced creative transitions.

SATURDAY
The Business of DJ'ing
This class introduces students to the business side of being a DJ. We’ll cover how to market yourself, build a brand, set rates, manage bookings, and maintain professional relationships. Students will also learn about contracts, invoicing, and how to navigate both club and private event gigs. The goal is to prepare DJs not just to perform—but to thrive as professionals in the industry.

Hands On Practice & Questions
This open session is designed for students to apply what they've learned through hands-on practice using various controllers. Instructors will be available to answer questions, provide feedback, and help troubleshoot gear or technique issues. It’s a chance to build confidence, experiment, and refine your skills in a supportive environment.
